Envelopes come in many sizes. A quick guide is: A4 paper folded twice horizontally, you'll need 11 x 22cm envelope (DL). A4 folded once horizontally then folded once vertically, you'll need 11.4 x 16.2cm envelope (C6). A4 folded once horizontally, you'll need a 16.2 x 22.9cm envelope (C5). A4 unfolded, you'll need a 32.4 x 22.9cm envelope (C4).
