Funnels are used for pouring liquids or fine-grained substances into containers with a small opening. A filter paper can be placed in the funnel to remove tiny particles from the lquid. Using a funnel avoids spillage and wastage. An example of funnel use is when transferring some cooking oil from the 2litre cooking oil can bought from store to a small bottle for ease of use or transferring grounded coffee from the grinder to the coffee bottle or tin can.
